What's your experience been like with ChatGPT 5.5 Pro so far?
Has anyone here had a chance to use ChatGPT 5.5 Pro yet? I'm curious what people think about it compared to earlier versions. Are you finding it actually delivers on the improvements they've marketed, or does it feel like a modest upgrade?
I've heard mixed reactions so far—some folks say the reasoning capabilities are noticeably sharper, while others feel the cost-to-value ratio doesn't quite justify jumping up to Pro. There's also the question of whether the pro tier is really necessary if you're not doing heavy-duty work daily.
What tasks are you using it for, and has it changed how you approach your work? Are there specific features that feel genuinely new, or does it mostly feel like refinements under the hood? I'd love to hear about any frustrations too—nothing's perfect, and it helps to know what the real limitations are before committing to a subscription.
Also curious whether people who've used it extensively think it's worth recommending to colleagues or friends, or if you'd suggest they stick with the standard version for now.

Been using it for a week now. The reasoning speed is noticeably faster, especially on complex analysis tasks. Not groundbreaking, but if you're doing this work daily, the time savings add up.

Honestly underwhelmed. For my use cases (writing, editing), it doesn't feel that different from what I was using before. Might go back to the free tier.

Does anyone know if the pro version has better accuracy on coding tasks? That's what I'd actually pay for.

I upgraded and don't regret it. Better context handling in long conversations, fewer hallucinations. Worth it if you rely on this regularly.
